| Prabhudyal ‘Ramesh’ Tarachand, 34,Nike Air Max Damen G��nstig, of High Reef, Albion,Basketball Shoes Clearance Sale, Corentyne, who is accused of strangling his 28-year-old wife Geeta Devi ‘Diane’ Bhishundial, at their home on Sunday June 2, 2013, was on Tuesday last, committed to stand trial in the next session of the Berbice High Court on a charge of murder.Accused: Prabhudyal ‘Ramesh’ TarachandThis was after the completion of a Preliminary Inquiry which was held before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh in the Albion Magistrate’s Court. It was determined that a prima facie case had been made out against him.The accused is being represented by attorney at law Mursaline Bacchus.Prosecutor Sergeant Phillip Sheriff told the court that on the day in question, around 21:00 hrs, the two were involved in a misunderstanding at their residence during which time the woman was strangled.It is alleged that the quarrel was as a result of a suspected triangular love affair involving Bhishundial,Curry 1 Shoes For Sale, Tarachand, and another man. The other man was allegedly in the vicinity at the time. The woman’s lifeless body was reportedly discovered on a bed in the living room. Tarachand, a carpenter at the Albion Estate, after he allegedly committed the act, is said to have drank a quantity of paint ‘thinners’ and tried to hang himself with a cord in a room next door.He was reportedly cut down just in time and the two were rushed to the Port Mourant Hospital where the woman was pronounced dead. Tarachand was transferred to the New Amsterdam hospital.Tarachand and the other man were subsequently arrested and placed in custody and after investigations, Tarachand was charged with the crime. The couple’s three children are currently living with their maternal grandparents.Defence counsel Mursaline Bacchus had put forward a no case submission in which he argued that there was no case for his client to answer. He had submitted that the prosecution had failed to prove that his client had committed the act.Dead: Geeta “Diane’ BhishundialProsecutor Sergeant Phillip Sheriff in his submission had relied on the evidence which he stated was overwhelming.
