She also gave a brief history of the area office.The NIS office in Corriverton was established in 1989 when the building was purchased. The edifice subsequently deteriorated since it was over 80 years old and the decision was taken to reconstruct a building including a manager’s quarters. The building is fully air conditioned and complete with a ramp for differently-able persons to have access to the building. The reconstruction began in July 2010.Last Monday’s activity was chaired by Area Manager Michael Patterson who stated that it was a joyous and momentous occasion for NIS to witness the reconstruction of such an important office at the thriving border town. He stated that the investment showed the organization’s commitment to improving and maintaining quality service delivery to the valued customers.Patterson stated that the survival of the entity over the years has not been without challenges and called on all to “care the institution”.
