Suggestions for a family
Each of most of these capabilities would to be made avalialable on multiple ranges, including individual, family, and global.
Some examples from the desired community aspects are:
Member1 can post on the global "news" blog, create and post to a personal blog, and create and write-up to various "family" blogs (eg: one regarding his household and one for his community relatives).
The whole clan should be competent to view a single member's calendar, or even an full family's, but only see the events that will are marked as visible to the clan. On the same time, every member should be in the position to invite other members to their activities, etc.
I'm hoping that these can be accomplished by means of a system like Joomla or PHPNuke via modules/add ons, but any and all solutions possible on dreamhost are welcome.
That would be even nicer if the possible functionality included getting care of any DreamHost settings that may be involved. (eg: Create a brand-new PHPNuke user, and a corresponding e mail account is created automatically.)
I notice the chances of merely finding a group of apps this all play nice together is rather slim, but I am willing/able to make modifications to help code where possible Kamagra Nz to further my goals, and also accept the seperation if the added featureset is actually worth it.

I'm taking the actual agile approach of starting simple and also trying to get the family to apply the individual module that these are most interested in using Gallery. I'm confident this will lead to massive integration or migration problems for me inside future, but I suppose I'd rather possess that problem than have a big fully integrated system that no one uses.
A person "problem" that I have is the good utility provided by the big free hosted service vendors like Blogger, Flikr, and the like. I may like your control I get from having my own WordPress installation, however my old Blogger blog did run faster and more reliably.
