She didn’t reply so I approached her and she pulled out an umbrella and attempted to lash me and so I cuffed the umbrella but instead I hit her.”According to Mrs. Braithwaite who appeared in court bearing marks of violence about her face, “She was with me because she had to print out a portfolio and we were waiting to go back to collect it.“He came up and inquired and threatened me. He hit me and I fell to the ground and he came over me and started beating me in my face right on the pavement.”The magistrate then called her up to view her blackened face and immediately refused to grant him bail.Braithwaite is expected to return to court on October 26.
