The gate towards the entrance was totally locked. The Post Mistress and workers were locked out for like one hour and 40 minutes or more. When they get to go in they still had to set up which took time. It left only two hours or so for operation with a very, very long build up of people”.Yet another resident stated that during the long wait outside of the compound, the rain began to pour and everyone was practically soaked.She explained that there were aged persons also awaiting their turn to have their transactions taken care of and this careless action should not have occurred.No explanation was issued as to why such an incident occurred and residents are hoping that this never be repeated. The Post-Mistress was said to have reported the matter to her supervisor who is stationed at the central office at the Georgetown Post Office (GPO). |
